Welcome to the web site for Old Dominion University's College of Business and Public Administration (CBPA). We are located in Constant Hall, 91,000 square feet of state-of-the-art teaching and learning space, located in beautiful and frequently sunny Norfolk, Virginia. We offer nine undergraduate business majors, masters programs in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, and urban studies, and doctoral programs in business administration (finance, information technology, management, and marketing tracks) and public administration and urban policy. Our business programs are AACSB accredited and our Masters of Public Administration degree is accredited by NASPAA.
Our Centers include the EV Williams Center for Real Estate and Economic Development, an Economics Education Center, the Center for Economic Forecasting, the Executive Development Center - offering custom and public executive education, the Insurance Center, and the Port and Maritime Institute. These Centers reflect our areas of specialization. For example, we are the only US University to offer a track in our MBA program in Maritime Management and in Fall 2006 we introduced an undergraduate major that is also unique - the Bachelor of Science major in Business Administration in Maritime and Supply Chain Management. Through our Centers and the Economics Club of Hampton Roads, we reach out to the Hampton Roads community - and beyond - to offer continuing education, seminars and conferences, research, and many special services and programs.
The CBPA emphasizes ethical leadership and global business. The Stop Plagiarism Project is one example of our emphasis on ethics and Study Abroad programs, such as the Tour of the Ports of Europe demonstrate our commitment to helping students understand the global economy. We have an outstanding research faculty with recent honors and awards that speak for them, including a State Council of Higher Education in Virginia Outstanding Faculty award. Several of our faculty members are journal editors and many publish in the top journals in their respective disciplines. One of the very best features of our college and Old Dominion University is our diversity. Everyone is welcome here!
