Graduate Degree Programs

The College of Business and Public Administration offers seven degree programs and two certificate programs. All are designed to promote professional competency in the student's selected area of study. The programs are fully accredited by the appropriate organization: the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) or the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA).

Graduate students come from a variety of backgrounds and from different colleges and universities. The master's programs are open to any qualified holder of a bachelor's degree regardless of the undergraduate field of study. Graduates in education, engineering, liberal arts and sciences, and business administration are encouraged to apply. Many students are mid-career professionals who are returning for their professional degree or who have reached managerial levels in their careers.

Graduate courses are taught during the day and in the evening, facilitating flexible combinations of formal learning and full- or part-time employment. In addition to courses offered at the Old Dominion University campus, off-campus centers at Virginia Beach and the peninsula have been established to serve the graduate education needs. The College offers M.B.A. and M.P.A. courses at the Centers.
