 Ph.D. Business Administration-Financial Assistance

 Graduate students at Old Dominion University that complete the "Application for Institutional Graduate Financial Assistance" are considered for the following five types of financial assistance: teaching and research assistantships, university fellowships, doctoral fellowships, and tuition grants. In addition to the financial aid offered by the University, graduate students may be eligible for aid administered by other agencies.

Graduate Teaching/Research Assistantships

Teaching/research assistantships for $15,000 per year are available for qualified candidates. These assistantships are renewable for a total period of 3 years given the student remains in good standing as defined in the program's Retention Standards . Tuition is waived for research and teaching assistantship recipients, who have completed a master's degree, are admitted as degree-seeking students, and who are enrolled as full-time students. Domestic applicants need to complete the "Application for Institutional Graduate Financial Assistance" form found in the application packet to be considered for an assistantship. International applicants need to download the "Application for Departmental Graduate Financial Assistance" and mail with your application packet to be considered for an assistantship.

University Fellowships

Recipient receives a one-year (Fall, Spring, Summer) $15,000 nonservice stipend and $5,000 toward tuition and fees; requires full-time graduate study. Student pays own tuition, in- or out-of-state as applicable. These fellowships are awarded competitively to the best and brightest candidates. Domestic applicants need to complete the "Application for Institutional Graduate Financial Assistance" form found in the application packet to be considered. International applicants need to download the "Application for Departmental Graduate Financial Assistance" and mail with your application packet to be considered.

Doctoral Fellowships

Recipient receives a one-year (Fall, Spring, Summer) $9,000 nonservice stipend; requires full-time graduate study. Student pays own tuition, in- or out-of-state as applicable. Domestic applicants need to complete the "Application for Institutional Graduate Financial Assistance" form found in the application packet to be considered. International applicants need to download the "Application for Departmental Graduate Financial Assistance" and mail with your application packet to be considered.

Tuition Grants

Tuition grants may be offered to full-time graduate students for up to $1000. Domestic applicants need to complete the "Application for Institutional Graduate Financial Assistance" form found in the application packet to be considered. International applicants need to download the "Application for Departmental Graduate Financial Assistance" and mail with your application packet to be considered.

Conference Travel

Funding opportunities are available to help defray travel expenses when doctoral students present papers at professional meetings. Requests are solicited at the beginning of each semester and funds are awarded competitively.
