Barbara R. Bartkus joined the Department of Management in 1997. She teaches Business Strategy & Policy and Entrepreneurship. Her research interests include corporate philanthropy, governance, and stakeholder communications such as mission statements.

Professor Bartkus received her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas in 1997. She received her B.S.B.A. (Public Administration) in 1987 and her M.B.A. (Concentration in Finance) in 1989 from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu.

She has over 15 years experience in the tourism industry in tour, convention, and seminar operations and marketing.
