Carol A. Markowski joined the Department of Information Technology and Decision Sciences in 1980. She teaches statistical decision analysis, management science, operations management, and production planning. Her research is in the areas of mathematical programming, statistical applications and education, and production planning.

Professor Markowski received her Ph.D. from The Pennsylvania State University in 1980 with a major in Industrial/Management Systems Engineering and Operations Research. She also received her M.A. in Statistics in 1978 and her M.S. in Industrial/Management Systems Engineering in 1978 from The Pennsylvania State University. In 1972, she received a B.S. in Mathematics Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She taught high school mathematics in Baltimore, Maryland from 1972 to 1975.
