Samuel F. Coppage teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Information Technology. He has taught lower-level courses in the major, database concepts and artificial intelligence. On the graduate level, he has taught the MBA survey course and the information architecture for enterprise-wide modeling course. He has research interests in higher level programming languages and the application of technology for cultures in the African Diaspora.
Dr. Coppage received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University. He previously worked as a member of Business Staff at Bell Laboratories and as a free-lance consultant in New York City.
He has expertise technology planning, database planning, system analysis and design. He also has expertise in Brazilian culture, including Candomblé, Bahian cooking, and art.
