Edward P. Markowski joined the IT/Decision Sciences Department in 1985. He teaches course at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral in data analysis and statistical methods.In addition, he teaches in the management science and operations management areas. His research focuses on evaluating the characteristics of statistical methods, on robust and /or nonparametric statistical methods, and on strategies for improvement of instruction methods in the business statistics curriculum.
Professor Markowski received his Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics from the Pennslyvania State University in 1980. He holds a B.S. degree in mathematics from King's College. He is also a Certified Fellow of the American Production and Inventory Control Society. His consulting activities concentrate on applications of ststistical principles, particularly in the context of legal issues and cases.
