Professor Kiran Karande joined the Department of Marketing in 1996. He teaches Marketing Research, Advertising Strategy, and Marketing Principles and Practice at the Undergraduate level, a Seminar in Marketing Research at the MBA level, and two Seminars in Advanced Research Methodology at the doctoral level. He has served on over 20 dissertation committees of doctoral students in Marketing and currently chairs five dissertations. His research interests are in the area of advertising and sales promotion, retailing, and international marketing. He has published 15 journal articles and has presented at several national ad international conferences.
Professor Karande received his Ph.D. from the University of Houston in December 1993 and his MBA and a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Bombay University. He has several years experience in sales and product management in multinational and large Indian corporations marketing consumer products.
