Richard K. Matika joined the department of Information Technology in August 2001. He teaches systems analysis (IT361), systems design (IT 473) and project management (IT464).

Professor Matika received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville in 1972 and a Master of Science degree from the American University in Washington, D.C. in 1976. He has a Certificate in Data Processing (CDP). Over the past 30 years he has worked in the IT industry as an instructor, consultant, director, general and project manager, business and systems analyst, and programmer.
