John Watson joined the department of Information Technology & Decision Sciences in July 2000 and is a full-time faculty member with the University. He teaches Operations Management, OPMT-303T.

John received his Masters Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (B.S.) with a major in Management from Old Dominion University. He is a Certified Total Quality Management Trainer and a Certified Achieve Global Trainer & Facilitator. John is the President of Professional Training & Consulting Co. and is a national speaker and trainer on topics of Customer Service, Teambuilding, Leadership, Communication, Total Quality Management, and other corporate training and development areas of expertise.

John has worked in both the public and private sectors, and has been a member and representative in many organizations to include an Officer on the Board of Directors for the Association of Records Managers and Administrators (ARMA), the American Water Works Association (AWWA), the Customer Service Committee for the Virginia Section of AWWA, the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), the Richmond Human Resources Management Association (RHRMA), the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI), Executive Dialogue, and the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce.
