For those interested in careers in Financial Planning, the Insurance and Financial Services track at ODU is a great choice.

The Insurance and Financial Services Center at ODU is now partnering with the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP) to offer the following:

Ø      Free membership in SFSP to any interested students that are majoring in the Insurance and Financial Services track at ODU.

Ø      Reduced membership rates ($29.50 per year: a huge discount from the regular membership rate) for any other students while enrolled in a Risk Management/Insurance course (FIN 317, FIN 410, FIN 411, FIN 412, FIN 443).

BENEFITS TO STUDENTS WITH SFSP MEMBERSHIP:

Student members are entitled to online access of SFSP material, including:

Ø      Access and the ability to research publications including the Journal of Financial Service Professionals.

Ø      Access to on-line educational programs.

Ø      Access to special networking features that allow students to post and discuss financial topics of interest with peers across the country (students must opt-in).

Ø      Read only access to all the professional interest Sections email discussion groups. This allows students to monitor credentialed professionals discussing real world cases and planning techniques (students must opt-in).
