Research
The Institute serves as a point of linkage between Old Dominion University's research resources and the needs of the maritime, ports and logistics community, regionally and internationally. With more than a dozen individual international linkages and association with the United Nations International Maritime Organization, the Institute is well-positioned to serve its constituency and other international research activities.
The university's research capabilities in areas such as international relations, administration, management, economics, engineering, intermodal transportation, policy analysis, planning, marketing, finance and environmental issues may be harnessed to address issues of concern to the international port community.
